Hole
n°1 : HCP
8 - PAR 4
It’s an important tee-shot on
this first hole. The hook will take
you into the water and the slice into
a ditch or onto the other fairway.
Double level green.
Hole
n°2 : HCP
6 - PAR 4
It’s important to place the drive
on the left side of the fairway for
a better approach to the green It is
a sloping and well-guarded green.
Hole
n°3 : HCP
2 - PAR 5
The hole is up hill with a slight slope
to the right. Therefore from tee to
green you have to keep the ball on the
left side of the fairway. The approach
to the green is difficult because it
is very closely guarded by a deep potbunker
and other hazards.
Hole
n°4 : HCP
12 - PAR 3
One of the most difficult par3 of the
Governor. Selecting the right club is
essential, because the green is guarded
by a bunker invisible from the tee.
A drive to the left will take you out
of bonds and a shot to the right will
take you directly into the woods down
below. The green is very sloping.
Hole
n°5 : HCP
14 - PAR 4
Rather short, so it’s not necessary
to start with your driver. But hit on
the left for a better approach to the
green. The slice can be very penalizing
. The approach shot to the green is
short but the green is very large.
Hole
n°6 : HCP
18 - PAR 5
Spectacular tee in the woods. The only
problem of this par 5 is to be straight
from the tee to the hole. Very vast
green is closely guarded.
Hole
n°7 : HCP
16 - PAR 3
The absence of bunkers on this par 3
makes it difficult to judge the distance
properly, and therefore to select the
right club . The hole is on an up-hill,
and it is easy to hit through the green.
Hole
n°8 : HCP
10 - PAR 5
Very beautiful panorama from the tee.
Although the fairway is very wide for
the drive, it’s better to aim
at the left part of the fairway. The
second shot must be accurate because
the fairway is split by two big oaks.
Closely-guarded undulating green.
Hole
n°9 : HCP
4 - PAR 4
The main difficulty of this par 4 is
its length. Dangerous rough on the right.
You’d better stay on the left
side with your drive. The second shot
is still a long one to the large double
level green.
Hole
n°10 : HCP
11 - PAR 3
Long and very closely-guarded par 3.
It becomes really difficult when you
play against the wind.
Hole
n°11 : HCP
15 - PAR 4
Spectacular and very tight. It is long
and narrow. Place the drive on the left
of the fairway and definitely avoid
slicing your second shot because the
fairway is lined with a pond up to the
green.
Hole
n°12 : HCP
7 - PAR 4
An ornamental lake to drive over may
frighten you but it is not a long carry.
A normal shot carries easily. The hole
is on a slight up-hill and the green
slopes a little.
Hole
n°13 : HCP
1 - PAR 4
Difficult to negociate: the first shot
must be long and straight. The second
shot to the green will have to carry
the ball over an ornamental lake. Green
guarded by two large bunkers.
Hole
n°14 : HCP
17 - PAR 3
A genuine jewel of a Par 3. It’s
not very long but the green is closely-guarded
by three ranges of bunkers. Water on
the right and behind. A Par 3 perfectly
designed and very beautiful.
Hole
n°15 : HCP
5 - PAR 4
Not easy to evaluate your tee shot because
of the two oaks which are located on
the fairway within driving distance.
In other words play a 3 wood or an iron
short of the oaks. The next shot will
be longer.
Hole
n°16 : HCP
9 - PAR 4
Nice tee. The faiway is very wide. It
is the second shot which is important
to the large double level green.
Hole
n°17 : HCP
3 - PAR 4
You have to drive down the right side
of the fairway to stay away from the
bunker. The entrance to the green is
very well-guarded by a large bunker
on the left and the second shot could
be very challenging if the flagstick
is placed on the left side of the green.
Hole
n°18 : HCP
13 - PAR 4
Very tactical. The hook is deadly. It
is not the length which makes it difficult
but its narrowness. After a well-centered
first shot, you will have to play your
second shot carefully because there
is water on the left. Double level green.
